Job Summary
Oversee clinical operations and staff supervision for an assigned nursing unit, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality resident care. Conduct resident assessments, review provider orders and quality indicators, and coordinate admissions, discharges, and interdisciplinary rounds. Monitor infection control, medication management, and care plan implementation while addressing resident and staff concerns. Participate in QAPI activities, family meetings, and staff coaching to maintain a positive care environment. Full-time days shift (7 am - 3 pm) at Taconic Rehabilitation & Nursing at Ulster, part of The McGuire Group, offering competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of resident assessments, care planning, and long-term care regulations
- Leadership experience with the ability to supervise, coach, and mentor staff
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate care across multiple disciplines and manage competing priorities
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of long-term care experience with supervisory experience
- Experience with quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
