Job Summary
RN Unit Manager responsible for providing professional nursing care and assessments, supervising RNs, LPNs, and CNAs, and coordinating nursing activities in the Care Center. Oversees nursing units, ensures documentation aligns with the nursing process in EMR, participates in daily clinical meetings, and maintains resident-centered care while complying with TJC and regulatory guidelines. Includes weekend on-call rotation to ensure continuous RN coverage; collaborates with the interdisciplinary team, communicates with medical staff and external agencies, and leads care planning, medication administration oversight, and performance improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Georgia Registered Nurse license (unencumbered)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification
- Minimum of 2 years of long-term care experience
- MatrixCare electronic medical record system experience (for care planning and documentation)
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills over RNs, LPNs, and CNAs
- Ability to perform nursing assessments, care planning, and ensure compliance with The Joint Commission (TJC) and state/federal guidelines
