Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day nursing department operations by ensuring staff adherence to professional standards, monitoring staffing levels, and conducting regular rounds to assess resident needs and facility conditions. Manage LPN and CNA evaluations, handle disciplinary actions and hiring, and lead participation in state surveys, QAPI initiatives, and medication administration monitoring. Provide direct patient care when necessary, address resident and family concerns, and collaborate with physicians and the MDS team for timely documentation. Perform audits, chart reviews, and ensure compliance with clinical policies while maintaining emergency preparedness and managing narcotic counts. Assist in developing individualized resident care plans and support the Director and Associate Director of Nursing in delivering quality care.
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in the state of Florida (unencumbered)
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a hospital, skilled nursing, or healthcare setting
- At least 6 months of experience in rehabilitative and restorative nursing
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred)
