Job Summary
RN Unit Educator in Medical Surgical Department collaborates with nursing leadership to assess education and performance needs, provides bedside and just-in-time education to staff, serves as a clinical resource, precepts nurses new to the department, and develops/executes education programs that foster critical thinking and clinical competence. Responsibilities include mentoring preceptors, partnering with educators to design programs using varied teaching strategies and technology, maintaining documentation, reporting on continuing education, assessing training effectiveness, and providing direct patient care as needed. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (Master’s preferred) and a valid Indiana RN license with BLS/ACLS within required timelines; minimum 3 years of clinical experience in designated specialty area; on-site in Noblesville, IN.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse license eligible to practice in Indiana
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through AHA
- Experience developing and delivering education programs in a hospital setting (preferred: Med-Surg/Orthopedics/Chemotherapy)
