Job Summary
Oversee clinical operations and nursing staff on a unit, conducting resident assessments, reviewing orders, and coordinating admissions and discharges. Supervise nursing assistants and rehabilitation aides while ensuring accurate documentation, medication management, and regulatory compliance. Monitor resident conditions, communicate changes with providers and families, and participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary rounds. Address resident, family, and staff concerns to maintain a positive care environment. Manage infection control, immunization tracking, and quality improvement initiatives. Full-time role with 11 pm to 7 am shifts, every other weekend, including a $3.00 overnight differential.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid NYS Registered Nurse (RN) License
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience in a long-term care setting
- Strong knowledge of resident assessments, care planning, and long-term care regulations
- Leadership experience with the ability to supervise, coach, and mentor staff
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to coordinate care across multiple disciplines and manage competing priorities
- Commitment to providing compassionate, resident-centered care
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- 3-5 years of long-term care experience with supervisory experience
- Experience with quality improvement, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance
