Job Summary
RN Triage - OB/GYN role performing telephone triage to assess symptom severity and determine appropriate level of care; schedules patient appointments with providers/facilities; documents triage information in health record systems; maintains and updates triage protocols; educates patients based on calls. Four days a week, nine-hour shifts with varying day off; no weekends, no holidays, and no on-call. Collaborates with a fast-paced OB/GYN clinic including physicians, PAs, NPs, and CNMs to care for women through lifecycle events from adolescence to menopause; opportunities for learning and growth in a close-knit team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program preferred, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA)
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
- One year of healthcare experience preferred
- Unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where practice occurs; multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact state
- Licensure in states where patients reside for telephone nursing practice
- Within first 30 days of employment, obtain license needed for role
- Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications
- Drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment
