Job Summary
RN Triage role providing bedside and telephonic nursing support in hospice/hospice-care setting. Responsibilities include participating in staff and department meetings, performing RN assessment and evaluation to identify patient needs, prioritizing actions, coordinating and directing staff for urgent patient visits, delivering care, evaluating medications and supplies, initiating incident and quality service reports, providing nursing services via telephone, virtual calls, and emails, communicating patient and staff information to interdisciplinary teams, consulting with leadership on unusual situations, assessing need for additional hospice services, and documenting patient interactions in electronic medical records. Requires strong nursing knowledge, ability to read orders and plans of care, adherence to infection control guidelines, and completion of orientation and training. Education: Associate's of Nursing required; BSN preferred. Licenses/Certifications: RN licensed, BLS, Driver's License. Pay range: $33.13-$53.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Nursing
- Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Driver's License
- 2+ years experience as a registered nurse
- Hospice or home health, acute care nursing experience (preferred)
- Bachelor's of Nursing (preferred)
