Job Summary
Coordinate resuscitation and manage all aspects of trauma patient care during weekend activations, serving as a resource for staff, families, and referral facilities. Lead communication with physicians to organize care and ensure patient movement through the system while implementing continuous performance improvement measures. Maintain excellent communication skills to defuse stressful situations and handle multiple tasks with minimal direction. Requires three years of clinical experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU, Flight, or EMS, along with ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications. Licensed in the state of practice with a Bachelor's degree preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse
- Licensed in the state of practice
- Three years of clinical patient care experience in Emergency Medicine, ICU, Flight, EMS or similar healthcare setting
- ACLS
- PALS
- TNCC
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Work well with minimal direction
- Have extensive knowledge of the Health System
- Have knowledge of trauma
- Serve as a resource to staff, families and physicians
- Have the ability to defuse stressful situations
- Handle multiple tasks
- Good problem-solving skills
- Be resourceful
- Ability to deal with stressful situations
- Standing/walking for long periods of time
- Bachelor's degree
- 3 years clinical experience in a critical care/trauma setting
- Trauma and ICU nursing
- TCRN or CEN or CPEN or CCRN
- Trauma Registry Knowledge
- Excel knowledge
