RN Trauma Injury Prevention Coordinator

Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver community education on trauma injury prevention; analyze trauma data to identify injury trends and high-risk populations, then translate findings into evidence-based educational programs and outreach. Develop teaching materials, host classes and events on-site and in the community, participate in health fairs and school programs, and represent the trauma center in local, regional, and state injury prevention coalitions. Collaborate with trauma physicians, nurses, emergency services, community partners, and hospital leadership; track outcomes with the trauma registry, monitor program effectiveness, and prepare reports for performance improvement and accreditation. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of trauma best practices and regulatory standards, and integrate these into hospital trauma and injury prevention strategies. Assist with staff education and ongoing competency related to trauma prevention principles. The role is primarily hospital- and community-based with regular on-site work and some local travel for outreach.
