RN Trauma ICU

The Trauma RN provides coordinated, high-quality, patient-centered care in the pre-operative and post-operative phases for patients in the Trauma ICU. Works in collaboration with medical providers to advocate for patients and support an exceptional patient experience. Responsibilities include applying the Nursing Process to assess patient conditions, documenting care in the medical record, performing procedures and administering medications, monitoring responses, maintaining knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical medications and equipment, and ensuring compliance with National Patient Safety Goals. Requires knowledge of growth and development relevant to patients served; demonstrates strong service orientation and adherence to patient safety and quality initiatives. Licensure as a registered nurse in Tennessee or a compact state is required; ASN or BSN preferred.
