Job Summary
Provide top of scope direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including level 1 trauma designation, utilizing the nursing process and BCEN certification standards. Precept new healthcare staff and guide individualized specialty education for competency validation. Contribute to secure safety and quality at the point of care while modeling proficiency. Requires state RN licensure, six months of nursing experience, and certifications in ENPC, PALS, Advanced Trauma Care, and Trauma Nurse Core Course. Required Qualifications
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of nursing (RN) experience
- ENPC or PALS on hire
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses
- Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course
- Trauma Nurse Core Course
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program if less than 3 years' experience
