Job Summary
Assess patient needs and priorities, plan and delegate care, and evaluate patient response to treatment on 3rd shift in Med-Surgical Step Down, STICU, or NICU units. Accountable for patient care outcomes during the 13-week assignment. Requires current Alabama or multi-state RN licensure, BLS certification, and preferred Critical Care or Emergency Care experience. Night shifts with minimum 48 hours weekly; eligible for overtime and shift differentials. Internal candidates ineligible.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of state board School of Nursing
- Current Alabama or multi-state licensure
- BLS certification before the conclusion of the orientation period
- ACLS certification if applicable to specific unit
- Night shifts
- Minimum of 48 hours per week
- 13-week assignment duration
- PRN Status
- Rotating weekends
- Eligible for overtime
- Eligible for shift differentials
- Not eligible for lump sum extra shift incentives
- Not eligible to apply if internal candidate
- Not eligible to apply if current HH Health System affiliate employee
- Not eligible to apply if Madison Hospital employee
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 year experience in Critical Care
- Experience in Emergency Care
- Flexibility to work in Med-Surg Units
- Minimum of 1 year of service in current position (for internal candidates)
