Job Summary
Deliver comprehensive high-quality, patient-centered care in medical-surgical and telemetry units by assessing patient health conditions, monitoring cardiac telemetry data, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to manage diverse patient needs. Administer prescribed medications and treatments, conduct comprehensive assessments, and document changes in the medical record. Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, assist physicians during treatments, and maintain a safe environment while ensuring infection control practices are strictly followed. Facilitate discharge planning and advocate for patients' needs and preferences. This 13-week travel assignment in Phillipsburg, New Jersey requires one year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience and strong critical thinking abilities.
Required Qualifications
- One year of recent Med Surg/Tele RN experience
- Valid RN license in compliance with state regulations
- The ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position, move about, move equipment (50-100lbs), push, pull, and bend
- Must have the ability to grasp, perform fine manipulation, push/pull, and move about when assisting with procedures and/or using department equipment
- Must be able to cope with frequent contact with the general public and customers while meeting deadlines under pressure
- Must be able to work under close supervision occasionally, as well as working without assistance from other personnel
- Must possess visual acuity and ability to effectively communicate
- Must be available for travel assignment in Phillipsburg, New Jersey
