Job Summary
RN Telemetry position at Northwest Medical Center (Tucson, AZ) is a full-time day-shift role in the Telemetry unit caring for a team of 6 patients. The RN provides patient-centered care through the nursing process, administers prescribed medications, conducts thorough patient assessments, assists in procedures (e.g., cardioversions, transesophageal echocardiograms), and collaborates with physicians and the healthcare team to develop and evaluate care plans. Responsibilities include monitoring telemetry data (EKG, vital signs), responding to emergencies (CPR/code team), ensuring infection control, educating patients and families, documenting care, and participating in performance improvement and audits. Requirements include active RN licensure, BCLS, ACLS, 0-2 years clinical experience in acute care, and ACLS certification; benefits include licensure/certification reimbursement and loan-repayment options.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required
