Job Summary
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for patient care delivery in the Operating Room across Urology, ENT, and Plastics. Direct patient care and coordinate care for patients of all ages while assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care to achieve optimal outcomes. Lead and mobilize the care team, facilitate communication, and resolve operational issues within the work group. Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback, and assist with staffing, scheduling, and workload distribution. Collaborate on fiscal management, resource allocation, and budget considerations while participating in performance improvement and quality initiatives. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain confidentiality. Respond to staffing needs, including supporting other Carilion facilities as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a State Board of Nursing approved program
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience including demonstrated clinical and leadership expertise
- Current Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- AHA BLS-HCP certification
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Interpersonal skills
- Communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Ability to manage challenging patient situations
