Job Summary
Assess somatic conditions and medical needs for behavioral health clients, communicate with team members to determine treatment protocols, and create a favorable group climate for effective client treatment. Support the Behavioral Health Division by performing clinical tasks to provide quality, cost-effective medical services to individuals with mental illness or emotional disturbances. Work Monday through Thursday from 7 PM to 5 AM as a full-time swing shift. Requires a Washington State RN license with at least two years of experience, preferably in mental health and chemical dependency.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse in Washington
- Current Washington State RN license in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years registered nursing experience
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with and work with outside agencies
- Mental Health Professional per WAC 246-341-0515
- Experience in the direct treatment of persons who have a mental illness or who are emotionally disturbed, such experience gained under the supervision of a mental health professional per RCW 71.34.020
- Subject to pre-employment drug testing and drug testing during employment, to include testing for marijuana
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Mental health & chemical dependency experience
- Experience with electronic charting
- Knowledge of local resources and services for individuals who are homeless or low-income and those experiences chronic behavioral health challenges or having histories of involvement in legal system(s)
