Job Summary
RN Surgical Svcs - OR at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital provides high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room. Responsibilities include evaluating patients prior to surgery, providing patient and family education, preparing patients with IV therapy and preoperative medications, conducting surgical site verification and time-out/debriefing per universal protocols, recognizing and responding to emergencies, delivering evidence-based nursing care, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, applying the nursing process, monitoring patient condition, and educating patients/families about conditions and follow-up. On-call is required during select non-business hours; role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement in surgical workflow.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- No Travel Required
