Job Summary
Provide patient care in the Surgical Stepdown unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers and coordinate patient care with other departments. Uphold patient rights and confidentiality of information while performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Night shift full-time schedule of 36 hours per week with a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced nurses. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
