Job Summary
Transplant RN responsible for comprehensive care of pre- and post-transplant patients (kidney, liver, heart, and multi-organ) including ongoing assessment, monitoring graft function, administering immunosuppressive therapies, wound care, coordinating biopsies/imaging/dialysis, and educating patients/families. Collaborates with transplant surgeons, nephrologists/hepatologists, pharmacists, social workers, dietitians, and transplant coordinators; participates in rounds; maintains accurate EHR documentation and adheres to safety and infection-control standards. Requires BSN (preferred), CT RN licensure, and BLS certification; supports ongoing professional development and clinical advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BLS required
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
