Job Summary

Provide nursing care to patients following the Scope and Standards of Nursing Practice and Specialty-Specific Standards of Patient Care. Utilize the Nursing Process to make nursing judgments, assume responsibilities for care and documentation, and delegate work to other levels of employees. Ensure practice meets compliance with all applicable State and Federal laws, regulations, and policies governing the provision of health care. This per diem role at Springfield Hospital requires an active Vermont RN license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications. Scrub and circulating nurse skills are expected within six months of hire. The base rate ranges from $35.13 to $57.64 per hour, determined by education and experience.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school of nursing
  • Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
  • Aseptic technique
  • Scrub and circulating nurse skills for various services (within six (6) months of hire)
  • Basic Dysrhythmia
  • Nursing Care Knowledge through the lifespan
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office products
  • Proficiency in the use of technology in care delivery

Desired Qualifications

  • De-escalation training (preferred)
  • Six (6) months of nursing experience is desirable for specialty areas
