Job Summary
Registered Nurse in Surgical Services (Operating Room) provides total nursing care to patients across the lifespan in the OR, adheres to asepsis and infection control guidelines, plans and evaluates patient care, administers medications, documents in medical records, delegates tasks within the team, and ensures patient safety. Requires strong communication, teamwork, phlebotomy proficiency, professionalism, and ongoing certification (CPR; ACLS/PALS as required). Reports to the Director or Surgical Services; non-exempt, pay range $34.68-$44.32/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- RN – current licensure in NYS
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS/PALS certifications as required by unit/department
- Unit-specific orientation and ongoing professional development
