Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards, supervising assigned staff and coordinating care with other disciplines. Collects relevant health data, analyzes assessment information to determine diagnosis and care issues, and develops plans prescribing interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care plans, coordinates delivery, and employs strategies to promote a safe environment while evaluating progress toward patient outcomes. Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers to provide healing, humane, and caring environments, offering learning opportunities and directly providing health information. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and delegates duties to healthcare team members as assigned. Requires BSN, RN licensure, ACLS/ALS certification, and PALS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy
- AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS
- AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS
- All required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Acute care facility experience
