Job Summary
Provide patient care on the Surgical & Orthopedic Care Unit for a diverse population including post-operative cases, orthopedic procedures, and specialized care such as bariatric surgery and sepsis. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by direct care givers. Work nights from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM with a 1:6 nurse-to-patient ratio, lifting up to 50 lbs and standing or walking throughout the shift. Earn a $20,000 sign-on bonus for experienced RNs or $15,000 for new graduates, plus stay premium pay and weekend option bonuses. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Active RN license (state-specific or compact)
- Must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- BLS – Basic Life Support (or within 30 days of hire)
- Any unit-specific certifications (with timeline for completion)
- Regularly lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs
- Prolonged standing/walking throughout shift
- Ability to bend, kneel, twist, squat as needed
