Job Summary
Deliver safe and compassionate nursing care for mixed patient populations by planning, implementing, and evaluating the patient plan of care. Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the clinical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes and continuity of care on the Surgical/Oncology unit. Maintain current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure and CPR certification, plus a Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within four years of start date. Requires an Associate Degree in Nursing with a Bachelor's Degree within five years, or an RN Diploma if hired before September 1, 2021. Full-time 36-hour schedule from 7pm to 7am with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure
- Current CPR Certification issued by either American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification within four years of start date into position
- If Associate Degree in Nursing is the highest degree held, must graduate with a Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing within five years of position start date (effective September 1, 2021)
- RN Diploma Nurse if position start date is prior to September 1, 2021
