Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the surgical oncology unit, conducting thorough assessments, administering prescribed medications, and assisting physicians during procedures. Monitor patients for side effects, respond to medical emergencies, and implement infection control protocols to ensure safety. Provide patient and family education on treatments and post-discharge care while advocating for their needs. Manage chemotherapy administration, pain, and vital signs, and operate medical equipment as required. Participate in audits, chart reviews, and performance improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes. Requires 0-2 years of acute care experience, BCLS, and ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting required
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required
- BCLS - Basic Life Support required
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support preferred
