RN Surgery

Conduct admission and ongoing assessments of patient conditions, delivering individualized care addressing physical, psychological, and spiritual needs. Implement comprehensive care plans, including medication safety protocols, physician orders, and patient preparation for surgeries and diagnostic studies. Collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to design discharge plans, educate patients and families, and ensure safe transitions of care. Provide accurate bedside shift reports to maintain continuity, delegate tasks based on acuity, and promptly report significant clinical changes or safety hazards to the Charge Nurse or physician. Reassess patients at appropriate intervals to adjust interventions and modify care plans as emerging needs arise.
