RN Surgery Team Lead

Job Summary
Oversee a department of frontline nurses caring for patients, assist the surgeon and surgical team in the OR, and care for patients before, during, and after procedures. Develop and implement nursing care plans for surgical patients while ensuring operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and supplies. Advocate for fellow nurses, support their full potential, and manage performance through confident 1:1 interactions and group discussions. Maintain a high level of compassion for patients throughout the surgical process. Call is required based on shift and patient volume across eight operating rooms, including designated cardiac and urology suites equipped with state-of-the-art lighting tables and the DaVinci Xi robotic system. Requires six months of acute care RN experience in the same unit, current CA RN licensure, and BLS/ACLS certification. BSN and OR charge nurse experience are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 6 months previous acute care RN experience in same unit
- Current and Active Registered Nurse CA
- AHA Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelors of Nursing BSN
- Moderate Sedation training for all monitored areas
- OR charge nurse experience
