Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery/Surgical Services at Yale New Haven Health System. The role requires practicing nursing per ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, coordinating care with patients and families, and leading collaborative efforts to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing care; health teaching and health promotion; and professional collaboration and leadership within the healthcare team. Education/credentials include graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred, Connecticut RN licensure, and current BCLS certification (or obtain within one month of hire). Prolonged standing and exposure to infectious diseases are possible in this role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse in Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Experience encouraged through SPIRE clinical advancement program
