Job Summary
RN - Surgery / Surgical Services role within Yale New Haven Health System. Performs professional nursing duties per ANA standards, emphasizing autonomy, accountability, collaboration, and patient-centered care. Responsibilities include conducting nursing assessments, planning and implementing care, coordinating transitions, and promoting health teaching and evidence-based practice. Requires Graduation from an accredited nursing program, CT RN licensure, and current BCLS; BSN preferred. Professional development through SPIRE clinical advancement program encouraged; strong emphasis on leadership, ethics, culturally congruent practice, and collaboration with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred or higher
- Current BCLS certification or ability to obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged

- CT nursing licensure required
