Job Summary
RN in Surgery / Surgical Services provides professional nursing care within the Yale New Haven Health System framework. Responsibilities align with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and health promotion. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, CT RN license, and BCLS; BSN preferred. OR experience and participation in SPIRE clinical advancement program encouraged. Emphasizes leadership, collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team, and delivering patient-centered care with an emphasis on safety and quality outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
