Job Summary
RN - Surgery / Surgical Services role in Yale New Haven Health System. Provides professional nursing care following ANA Scope and Standards, within CT Nurse Practice Act, and the YNHHS model. Core duties include assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and health promotion, and evaluation; leadership and collaboration with patient, family, and health care team; adherence to ethics, culturally congruent practice, and evidence-based practice; ongoing professional development through SPIRE clinical advancement program. Qualifications emphasize graduation from nursing program, CT RN licensure, and BCLS, with BSN preferred; clinical specialty certification encouraged. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing; BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
- SPIRE clinical advancement program participation encouraged
- Experience as an RN with focus on standards of practice and professional performance
