Job Summary
RN in Surgery/Surgical Services providing patient-centered nursing care per ANA Scope and Standards and CT Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordination of care, health teaching, and collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team. Requires CT RN licensure, BSN preferred, and current BCLS; experience in OR nursing and participation in SPIRE clinical advancement program encouraged.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
- Experience as RN; SPIRE clinical advancement program encouraged
