Job Summary
RN in Surgery / Surgical Services providing patient-centered nursing care within Yale New Haven Health System standards. Responsibilities include applying the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care, teaching and promoting health, and collaborating with patients, families, and healthcare team. Requires leadership, ethical practice, culturally congruent care, effective communication, evidence-based practice, and ongoing professional development (SPIRE clinical advancement program). BSN preferred; CT license current; BCLS certification within one month of hire. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
