Job Summary
RN - Surgery / Surgical Services provides patient-centered nursing care in alignment with ANA Scope and Standards and the Connecticut Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care, health teaching, and collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare teammates. The role emphasizes ethics, culturally congruent practice, leadership, education, and evidence-based practice within the YNHHS framework; requires licensure in Connecticut and preparation to obtain/maintain BCLS, with BSN preferred and opportunities for SPIRE clinical advancement.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
