Job Summary
RN - Surgery / Surgical Services role within Yale New Haven Health System. The RN provides patient-centered professional nursing care guided by ANA standards, collaborates with the patient, family and health-care team, and contributes to quality outcomes within a structured professional practice model. Responsibilities emphasize assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching, and evaluation, with leadership and ethical practice as core components to support safe, evidence-based care in the surgical services environment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
- Experience as RN in surgical/OR setting encouraged
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
