Job Summary
RN - Surgery / Surgical Services role within Yale New Haven Health System providing patient-centered professional nursing care guided by ANA standards. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care, health teaching and promotion, collaboration with patients, families and the health care team, and upholding ethics and culturally congruent practice. The RN leads and participates in professional practice activities, ensuring quality outcomes and utilizing evidence-based practice. BSN preferred and licensure in CT required; SPIRE clinical advancement program encouraged. This position emphasizes leadership, communication, and adherence to institutional standards and professional practice models.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire.
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged.
