Job Summary
RN in Surgery / Surgical Services with Yale New Haven Health System responsibilities grounded in ANA Standards of Practice and Professional Performance, providing patient-centered nursing care. Demonstrates assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and health promotion, and evaluation of care; upholds ethics, culturally congruent practice, effective communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, and effective resource utilization in a surgical setting.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN is preferred
- Current BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification highly encouraged
- Participation in SPIRE clinical advancement program is encouraged
