RN - Surgery / Surgical Services: The RN provides patient-centered care within the Yale New Haven Health System, following ANA Standards of Practice and the organization’s professional practice model. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation), coordinating care across the health care team, health teaching and promotion, and leadership and professional practice activities. Emphasis on culturally congruent care, ethics, quality improvement, collaboration with patients and families, and readiness to engage in SPIRE clinical advancement opportunities in a perioperative/surgical setting.
