Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Surgery within Yale New Haven Health System, providing patient-centered care across perioperative services. Responsibilities align with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice: assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care, health teaching and promotion, and evaluation. Demonstrates leadership, collaboration, communication, ethics, cultural congruence, and evidence-based practice; participates in SPIRE clinical advancement and professional practice evaluation. Licensure as a Connecticut RN required; BSN preferred; BCLS certification required within one month of hire. Emphasizes safe, high-quality nursing care across the surgical services continuum.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Current Connecticut RN license
- BSN preferred
- BCLS certification (or ability to obtain within one month of hire)
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
