Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care as an RN within Yale New Haven Health System, adhering to CT Nurse Practice Act and ANA Standards. Responsibilities include applying the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, evaluation), coordinating care and transitions, health teaching and promotion, and collaborating with patients, families, and the healthcare team. Emphasizes leadership, ethics, culturally congruent practice, and continuous professional development within a patient-centered care framework.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current Connecticut RN license
- Current BCLS certification or able to obtain within one month of hire
- Experience or familiarity with ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and professional nursing standards
