Job Summary
RN - Surgery / Surgical Services delivers professional nursing care within the Yale New Haven Health System, following the ANA Scope and Standards for Nursing Practice and organization values. The RN conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care, collaborates with patients, families and health-care team, demonstrates leadership, ethics, culturally congruent practice, effective communication, and commitment to evidence-based practice and quality outcomes. Standard of practice emphasizes autonomy, accountability, and participation in the SPIRE clinical advancement program; requires eligibility for Connecticut RN licensure and current BCLS certification. Location: Newport County, RI (US).
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification (or must obtain within one month of hire)
