Job Summary
As an RN in Surgery, this role involves assisting in operating room procedures including patient preparation, instrument handling, communication with the surgical team, and adherence to safety and compliance standards. Responsibilities include patient advocacy, maintaining accurate records, providing preoperative and postoperative care, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications
- RN with state license required; Current license to practice nursing in the state.
- Ability to create a caring, compassionate relationship with the patients and families.
- Ability to collaborate with the healthcare team to use evidence-based practice in providing care.
- Expertise in handling sophisticated medical equipment.
- Must possess effective time management skills.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience in a similar health care setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support certification.
- ACLS and PALS certification within six months of employment.
