RN - Surgery Nursing Unit (inpatient)

Conduct patient assessments, develop care plans, and administer medications adhering to the 5 Rights. Perform hourly rounding, admit and discharge patients, and manage observation status to facilitate quick disposition. Ensure patient safety by enforcing fall precautions, isolation protocols, and ambulation safety while responding promptly to call lights. Collaborate with the healthcare team, delegate tasks to HCTs, and maintain accurate documentation per Carle Med/Surg standards. Provide patient education and utilize critical thinking to evaluate patient status changes.
