Job Summary
Conduct patient care using the nursing process within the Nurse Practice Act framework, effectively delegating and directing licensed and ancillary team members. Assume accountability for quality patient outcomes while demonstrating sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity in all interactions. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources properly to serve as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team. Evaluate and promote change using data to achieve optimal outcomes and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Adapt behavior to specific patient populations, including respecting privacy and customizing explanations of services. Perform other related duties as required, including exposure to blood, body fluids, and hazardous medications within a patient care area.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds constantly
- Residence in an eligible location (not Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, Washington D.C.)
