Job Summary
Perform scrub functions by selecting and handling instruments and supplies during procedures. Execute circulating duties including monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition while managing overall nursing care before, during, and after surgery. Directly assist operating physicians with tasks such as hemostasis, suturing, wound exposure, and patient positioning. Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments for use. Apply evidence-based practice and scientific knowledge to deliver age-specific and clinical nursing care aligned with the department's Scope of Service. Demonstrate professional nursing standards and the ANA Code of Ethics to address evolving patient needs. Maintain constant alertness and safety while performing other assigned duties. Requires a current RN license and BLS certification for the specific state of assignment.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
