Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the operating room before, during, and after surgery. Scrub in for procedures, assisting the surgical team with instruments and supplies while maintaining a sterile environment. Monitor patient vital signs, administer prescribed medications, and observe for changes in condition. Conduct thorough patient assessments, document findings accurately, and report changes to the care team. Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans. Respond to medical emergencies, participate in life-saving interventions, and advocate for patient rights. Provide patient and family education on medical conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care. Implement infection control protocols and operate medical equipment as needed. Maintain regular attendance and comply with all organizational policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
Desired Qualifications
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation
