Job Summary
Provide scrub and circulating nurse support in the Surgery Department, assist the Surgeon and Anesthetist as needed, perform recovery room duties for post-anesthesia care (including care for intubated patients and extubation), ensure aseptic/sterile technique and proper use of OR equipment, administer medications and manage IVs, monitor patient condition and vital signs, perform pre-op and post-op patient/family teaching, and initiate/assist with Basic Cardiac Life Support as required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Registered Nursing education program
- Maintain active MN RN licensure
- Maintain active BLS certification
- Maintain active ACLS certification
- Minimum of 1 year experience in inpatient/Med-Surg nursing; or combined years of relevant education and experience to perform the essential duties of this position.
