Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation while coordinating care through interdisciplinary rounds and bedside shift reports. Deliver patient-centered care that adapts to population characteristics and partners with patients and families on goals and teaching. Maintain timely documentation, participate in case reviews, and support performance improvement initiatives and shared governance activities. Complete mandatory education, competency assessments, and precept other nurses or students. Uphold organizational policies, TJC safety goals, and evidence-based practice standards.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN
- Knowledge of nursing practice as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act
- Knowledge of the American Nurses Association Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards
- Ability to perform the Nursing Process (assessment; diagnosis; identification of outcomes; planning; implementation and evaluation)
- Use of analytical/critical thinking
- Ability to provide relationship-based patient centered care
- Understanding of cultural diversity
- Ability to partner with patients and significant others
- Ability to coordinate care through effective partnerships
- Ability to complete timely documentation
- Ability to practice using current clinical practice standards
- Ability to coordinate the delivery of safe quality patient care
