Job Summary
Conduct 2-4 patient admissions daily and perform necessary patient visits in the hospice setting. Perform comprehensive assessments to identify needs, plan and deliver appropriate nursing acts, and implement prescribed treatment and pharmaceutical regimens. Teach and supervise other personnel, collaborate with providers to determine patient-centered plans, and report care results and patient responses. Maintain safe nursing care standards while managing pain, symptoms, and infectious disease processes under regulatory guidelines. Work Monday through Thursday from 11 PM to 9 AM in Henderson County.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC RN license
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
- Must be willing and able to care for patients with infectious disease processes unless approved accommodations
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrate basic data entry skills
- Demonstrate excellent organization skills
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and utilize innovative techniques and ingenuity
- Ability to interact with various departments throughout the organization

- Ability to participate as a team player to coordinate projects
- Ability to plan, prioritize and coordinate multiple projects
- Demonstrate skill/expertise in pain and symptom management
- Demonstrate ability to effectively collaborate and facilitate the work of a group
- Demonstrate understanding of reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Lifting/carrying of 50 lbs. often
- Walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching/squatting, kneeling
- Flexion/Extension of arms/wrist
- Hand dexterity to include gripping, pushing/pulling and writing
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of clinical experience preferred
