Job Summary
Conduct 2-4 patient admissions daily, performing comprehensive physical and mental health assessments to identify needs. Deliver direct nursing care, implement prescribed treatment and pharmaceutical regimens, and provide teaching and counseling regarding patient health. Record and report nursing assessments, care plans, and patient responses to treatment. Supervise, teach, and evaluate other personnel in implementing treatment regimens while collaborating with health care providers to determine patient and family-centered plans. Manage pain and symptom management for patients with infectious disease processes, adhering to Federal, State, and Local regulations including Medicare Conditions of Participation and HIPAA privacy rules.
Required Qualifications
- Valid NC RN license
- Valid Driver's License and proof of automobile insurance
- Must be willing and able to care for patients with infectious disease processes unless approved accommodations
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local regulations and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Knowledge of HIPAA privacy rules and regulations
- Knowledge of electronic medical records systems
- Demonstrate basic data entry skills
- Demonstrate excellent organization skills
- Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
- Ability to take initiative and utilize innovative techniques and ingenuity

- Demonstrate understanding of reimbursement, regulatory requirements, and Medicare Conditions of Participation
- Lifting/carrying of 50 lbs. often
- Walking, standing, sitting, bending, reaching, twisting, crouching/squatting, kneeling
- Flexion/Extension of arms/wrist
- Hand dexterity to include gripping, pushing/pulling and writing
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of clinical experience preferred
